ESPN Releases Mock BCS Standings

The actual standings don't come out until this Sunday but ESPN decided to throw some numbers together and show what the BCS would probably look like if it came out this past Sunday. You can find the article here. Honestly, I'm shocked by some of the standings. Here's how they see it:

1. Texas
2. Alabama
3. Penn State
4. USC
5. Texas Tech
6. Oklahoma
7. Oklahoma State
8. Florida
9. Utah
10. Georgia
11. Ohio State
12. BYU

First off, USC should not be ranked in the Top 10, let alone the Top 5. This is not the same team as year's past. Unfortunately, they probably will win out the rest of their games and be in the title discussion. But they shouldn't be. Secondly, I'm shocked to see Texas Tech ranked higher than Oklahoma State. The Cowboys beat Missouri and the Red Raiders did what exactly? Almost lost to Nebraska in overtime? Third, of the BCS Busters, I definitely did not see Utah being ranked above BYU. Utah's win against Michigan continues to look less impressive (but then again so does BYU's over UCLA) and the Utes barely beat Oregon State.

What surprises you the most? Post your thoughts in the comment section.
