There are some pretty good college football games on national TV this weekend. Too bad the same can't be said for the NFL. Those executives really missed the boat on thinking that Seattle and New England would be good teams this year. Yikes! Here's what you should watch:
1. Missouri Tigers at Texas Longhorns, Saturday 8 PM, ABC - Obviously this game isn't what everyone thought it would be a week ago since Missouri lost that close one to Oklahoma State. But the good news is that this Big 12 race is still so wide open. Don't discount the Tigers for one second, they are still one of the most talented teams in the country.
2. MLB Playoffs, All Weekend (Maybe), TBS & FOX - The only definite games for you to watch are tonight's game between the Phillies and Dodgers and tomorrow night's game between the Rays and Red Sox. But, if things don't go as planned, more games will be added to the slate for this weekend.
3. Kansas Jayhawks at Oklahoma Sooners, Saturday 3:30 PM, ABC - This is another huge match-up for the Big 12. It seems like there is going to be one for the next couple weeks. Amazing! This matches two one-loss teams that are still in their respective hunts. Oklahoma is really behind the eight-ball though because in order to win the division, they would need Texas to lose twice.
4. Ohio State Buckeyes at Michigan State Spartans, Saturday 3:30 PM, ABC - Who would've thought that Michigan State would be at the top of the Big 10 standings this far into the season. If you haven't seen Javon Ringer play yet, you need to because he is a stud. The same can be said for Terrelle Pryor.
5. Hawaii Warriors at Boise State Broncos, Friday 8 PM, ESPN - Don't act like this doesn't excite you. Boise State should win hands down but it's always fun to watch a game on the blue turf. This is also a great chance to see one of the possible "BCS busters." It looks like Boise State, Brigham Young and Utah have the best shots at it this year.
