Top 5 Reasons Cub Fans Should Be Happy

In case you hadn't heard, the Cubs choked for the 100th year in a row. Since you all seem so down on yourselves, I thought I would cheer you up. Here's the top 5 things for Cubs fans to smile about.

1. Wrigley Field Is Still the Coolest - Yeah, the Green Monster is pretty neat, but nothing is better than a day game at Wrigley. The outfield wall is a landmark in itself. And the even better news? You don't have a greedy owner (see George Steinbrenner) that would tear the place down. Even the Red Sox talked about tearing down Fenway. Wrigley will hopefully stand forever.

2. Mark Cuban Is Still Interested in Buying the Team - He doesn't care how many years they've lost, he still wants them. He is the absolute ideal owner for the Cubs. He would spend every dollar in his bank account if it meant winning a World Series. The Cubs are lucky to have a world-class businessman be so interested in purchasing them. It's too bad the same can't be said for other historic franchises like the Pittsburgh Steelers.

3. You Don't Have to Buy World Series Tickets - With the way the economy is going right now, is that really an expense you want to have? Ticket prices would be astronomical. Throw in the price of some hot dogs and beer and you would've had to sell your house, your car and cashed in that plummeting 401K. Just wait a couple more years for the economy to bounce back, then make a run.

4. You Aren't Turning Into Red Sox Fans - Remember when the Red Sox hadn't won in a ridiculously long time too? And then they did and what happened? All of their fans became the biggest douchebags on the face of the Earth. Yeah, we get it, you won. Take your hat off and lose the accent before I punch you in the face.

5. There's Always Next Year - It certainly did seem like this would be the year. It was exactly 100 years and the team had done so well all season. Oh well, things happen. Go ahead and start writing on Mark Cuban's blog right now, "We want CC! We want CC!"
